Maryam ibnat ʿImrān tells the story of Mary daughter of Avram, the holy mother of 'Isa (Jesus in English) & her grief of losing her first born child to the Roman occupation of Palestine.

The final Image of the series is called Umm Nur (Mother of the Light).

This photograph conceptualises a Jewish mother mourning the loss of her first born child who was a resistance leader against the colonisation of his homeland.

More than 2000 years later the same Palestine, the same Palestinian mothers, the same Palestinian children still striving for liberation against an occupying force.

'Isa ibn Maryam's teachings are the foundation of the worlds largest religion, Christianity.

But his people still suffer.
